The Export feature is one of them. ICloud also makes it easy to import contacts if the contacts are in vCard format. The good news is that Gmail does allow you to export contacts as vCard.

When you turn on iCloud Contacts, all of the information* stored on separate devices uploads to iCloud. If you turn off iCloud Contacts, your information won't automatically move from iCloud back to your device.

1. Apple ecosystem is pretty isolated and not easy to transfer data to Android or any other platform. If you are an iPhone owner and you want to transfer iCloud contacts to Google contacts, the solution may not work directly as expected. IPhone users can sync contacts with Google from iPhone settings, and this procedure is buggy most of the time.
2. In iCloud, the contacts should automatically be synced with your iCloud e-mail address. If you go to export your Gmail contacts and select vCard Format, they will automatically be in your Apple Address Book. From there, mine were automatically on my iCloud contacts as well.
3. Select the contact or contacts you wish to transfer. Click on a single contact to select it. Hold Ctrl + A or ⌘ Command + A to select all contacts. To select multiple contacts, hold Ctrl or ⌘ Command while clicking on each contact.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
2. Turn on Contacts.
3. When you're asked if you want to Merge or Cancel, tap Merge.

All of the information stored in Contacts uploads to iCloud.

On your Mac

1. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, you don’t need to click Apple ID.
2. Click iCloud.
3. Select Contacts.

All of the information* stored in Contacts uploads to iCloud.

* If you have contacts information stored On My Mac, that information will not automatically sync. In Contacts, drag a contact from On My Mac to All iCloud, or export your contacts as Vcards, then manually sync with the Finder.

On iCloud.com or iCloud for Windows

After you turn on iCloud Contacts on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, your contacts upload to iCloud. You can find and edit your contacts on iCloud.com or in iCloud for Windows. Any changes that you make automatically update on your other devices.

If you turn off iCloud Contacts on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, your contacts won't delete from iCloud, they won't update automatically, and any changes you make won't update across your other devices.

Add Contacts from third-party accounts

If you store contacts in a third-party email service, you can add the email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Then, check that Contacts is enabled.

If you experience sync-related issues, disable the account.

Use the Finder or iTunes to sync Contacts

If you don’t want to manage your contacts with iCloud, or if you want to do a one-time sync, sync your Contacts manually with the Finder or iTunes.

When you sync with the Finder or iTunes, your information stores locally on your devices. There can be differences in information if you update one of your devices in between syncs. For example, if you delete contacts from your computer after syncing with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, the next time you sync with your computer, those contacts will delete from your iOS or iPadOS device, too.

If you have trouble setting up iCloud Contacts

• Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the latest version of iOS and iPadOS, and your Mac to the latest version of macOS.
• Make sure that you’re signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices.
• Set up iCloud on all of your devices. If you have a PC, download iCloud for Windows.
• Make sure that you're connected to Wi-Fi or have an active Internet or cellular connection.
• Learn what to do if you see duplicate contacts after setting up iCloud Contacts.
• Get help if your iCloud Contacts won't sync.

Syncing iCloud with your Gmail to exchange data between the two terminals is not a difficult task to achieve, but before you do that you must know when you exactly need to do such synching. Usually Android contacts are stored to Gmail accounts and iPhone contacts are stored in iCloud server. Now if you wish to switch over from iPhone to Android, then syncing your iCloud containing all your iDevice contacts with your Gmail will allow you later on to export all the contact details from Gmail to your Android phone, or vice-versa.

Step 6. Once you are done with this much, go to your Gmail account and log-in using your login credentials that is username and password.

How To Transfer Contacts From Icloud To Gmail

Step 7. Click on “More” option and then “Import” option to import the vCard file containing the necessary contact details from the destination where the vCard was previously stored. In order to do that, choose your vCard file which you have already downloaded in your PC. Actually it is the same vCard file that was downloaded from the iCloud server.

NOTE: It is very much necessary to know that your Google account does possess the authority or permission to sync contacts on the phone device.

Once you have followed all the step-by-step directives, now you will find all your contact details in your Gmail account safe and secured, which you can later on sync with Android device to transfer the details to another Android device.

But if you wish to try out something different, there is a way, but it involves the use of third party software to continue.

Method 2: Sync iPhone Contacts with Google with CleanMyPhone

Using Fireebook CleanMyPhone utility to sync your iPhone contacts with Gmail is actually a quicker or simpler alternative than the manual method. This one is highly recommended for it makes the transfer of contact details from iCloud to Gmail faster. The guideline on how to use it is given below in the following steps:
