In this series of articles we’re going to set up an Apache Web Server and walkthrough the various Apache configurations and features. The build process (described below) is easy, and it allows you to customize your server to suit your needs. When I type localhost in browser, it shows Testing 123 which means apache is running. I created wordpress website. When I type in my browser localhost/wordpress, I see my wordpress website. When I type my public ip address, I see testing 123, not my wordpress website. The Apache web server is easy to install. With one command, you can install it and all necessary dependencies: $ dnf install httpd. All the configuration files for Apache are located in /etc/httpd/conf and /etc/httpd/conf.d. The data for websites you'll run with Apache is located in /var/www by default, but you can change that if you want.
